In a few days time, Audrey Fleta Hroc's 20 year career ends in disgrace, an 18 year marriage ends in divorce, and the home she has cherished for all those years burns down with her possessions in it. Audrey Fleta Hroc alone, jobless and homeless asked, Can it get any worse? It does, much worse. A mystery/suspense about a woman who had everything and suddenly, sinister forces at work wipe away all that she has cherished. She has lessons to learn and being homeless, on the street and vulnerable is a school of hard knocks that she must survive in one way or another. The young boy she befriends, and the homeless woman she goes to bat for at a local Thrift Store are her sidekicks in this forced adventure to the other side of the tracks of life, these and the company she used to work for all serve to begin her process of coming to terms with who she is and where she's going.
