Ancient
Secrets
Spiritual associations with the bodys seven Chakras are
manifested in a necklace stolen from the Zulu goddess Ebony.
Until recently the seven gemstones of the necklace have been
effectively sealed in a type of jewelers paste made of
pulverized vulture bones. As the paste is rubbed or chipped off
through natural wear and tear the curse that the beads contain
increases the power of the stones until the necklace has the
power to kill. Elementary teacher Beatrice Olenmurphy,
affectionately known to everyone as The Story Lady, is the last
one who possessed the necklace as the story begins. She has
suddenly, and for no apparent reason, fallen into a coma. The
doctors are baffled and unable to provide a cure or any hope
for recovery. Her son, Daringer Smith a professor of Archeology
and his colleague Professor of Anthropology, Abigail
Stonehenge; along with the apprentice shaman known as Sangoma
(Chet) Kampa, who has tracked the necklace from South Africa to
Beatrice Olenmurphy; team up to try to return the stolen
necklace via a treacherous trek, Indiana Jones style, through
the Valley of Kings in South Africas deep jungle. Chet has been
able to lift the curse from Mrs. Olenmurphy and thus pulled her
out of her coma. According to Zulu legend the necklace must be
returned by a woman with a pure heart before natural disasters
wreak havoc on the earth, Mrs. Olenmurphy is deemed that
woman.
